Born in Romania, Sanda Gané first learned and practiced skin care in Europe. She now has over 30 years experience in the skin care industry with advanced training and certifications in lymphatic drainage for the face and body, light therapy, anti-aging, mature acne treatment, hormone therapy, laser hair removal, laser photo facial, laser skin resurfacing and laser cellulite reduction. She is passionate about both learning and teaching innovative skin care techniques. Sanda has conducted seminars with aestheticians, dermatologists, plastic surgeons and other spa owners throughout Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States.

Sanda grew up in Romania under a communist government. At that time a lot of emphasis was placed on athletics. Sanda was part of the national volley ball team and while she was young she was groomed to be part of the Romanian sports system. However, Sanda's passion has always been skin. When she was 19 years old she began studying skin care. The study of skin care in Romania is a 3 year program, much like a pre-med course. Sanda studied anatomy, physiology and chemistry along with courses on products and how to work with them.

With no money and a very limited knowledge of the language, Sanda came to the United States in 1981 knowing that she could build a better life. She started working in a small salon in New York doing nails and talking to people about skin care. Soon she built a skin care following among the theater performers and her reputation grew. After two years she was able to save enough money to bring her 3 small daughters to the United States. In 1985, Sanda felt that Florida was a better place to raise children so she packed up the children along with all of her belongings and moved to Wellington, FL.

In 1987 most people did not understand the importance of skin care. So Sanda opened a small nail salon in Wellington Plaza. She answered the phone, booked appointments, washed the laundry, did nails and talked to everyone about the importance of taking care of their skin. 20 years later after two moves and four expansions within Wellington Plaza, Sanda now employs over 30 people in Wellington and has a data base of over 20,000 guests who have visited Sanda Gané european day spa. Some of her employees have been with the Wellington location since the very beginning. Many of Sanda's guests have introduced their daughters and grand-daughters to the spa.

Sanda visited Georgia in 2004 and fell in love with the city and the people. She also observed that Atlanta was very under served with spas. There really is no operation in Atlanta that competes head to head with the type of services and the quality of the experience that a guest receives when visiting a Sanda Gané day spa. May 2006 is when Sanda Gané european day spa & hair studio opened in Marietta, GA. Today that spa employs more than 25 technicians and has 5,000 guests in our data base who have visited the spa.

The second Atlanta area location opened in Cumming in December 2007. Sanda Gané european day spa & laser clinic is the largest spa with 10 hair stations, 9 treatment rooms and 4 medical rooms to better serve our guests. And a beautiful relaxation room is available for our guest to relax in between multiple services.

A pioneer in her field, Sanda was among the first to bring Microdermabrasion to the United States and to incorporate ultrasound and light therapy in her advanced facials. She has now expanded the scope of her operations to include a medical division with laser hair removal, laser skin resurfacing, botox and fillers in all of the locations. Overseeing all aspects of her business, Sanda is dedicated to quality service and dramatic results. Her philosophy is to learn each guest's specific needs and deliver fantastic, visible results in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

All employees participate in continuing education programs in the spa. "Knowledge is something that no one can take away from you". Sanda believes strongly that everyone should continually learn and help train others. It is the devotion to knowledge that sets Sanda Gané european day spas apart from all other spas. Sanda continues to act as a business consultant and product formulator for top skin care companies throughout the world. Her plans are to expand the business by opening new locations throughout the Atlanta market.

Sanda is involved in many local charities and has initiated "Help Us To Help You" to aid charities through the spa. Especially close to her heart are charities which involve the well being of children, the elderly and women's issues. Sanda Gané european day spas are active members of the International Day Spa Association.
